Cigna

Cigna is one of my favorite insurances to bill, either I’ve been lucky or they have some of the friendliest and most helpful staff. They also have few requirements.

Requirements:

• Referral for massage – I require it. Some plans don’t require a massage prescription. However, since I’m not allowed to diagnose and I must use a diagnosis code to bill for you, I need a referral to obtain proper billing codes and create a thorough paper trail.
• Massage must be medically necessary! (Most insurance plans won’t cover preventative massage.)
